Alice Min Soo Chun is an Inventor, Social Entrepreneur, and CEO of Solight Design. She is a former Professor in Architecture and Material Technology at Columbia University and Parsons, the New School. Fueled by her passion for helping the underserved, Alice has invented products that address global crises. Her first invention, the SolarPuff, has impacted over 1 million people living in underserved regions worldwide. She has won numerous awards, including the US Patent Award for Humanity. Her inventions have been exhibited at MOMA, the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. In 2019, she was featured in Hillary Clinton’s book, “The Book of Gutsy Women”. She was honored as a Fast Company "World Changing Idea" in 2022 and recognized as a Marie Claire Power Trip 2022 Honoree for Most Influential Woman. Additionally, she was named a 2022 Forbes IMPACT honoree and was featured on Apple TV docuseries "GUTSY" Episode 6, alongside Hillary Clinton. She was also featured on ABC's Good Morning America during her recent mission to Ukraine.
